RevSim Model (posted 08-02-2017)
The RevSim Model collection contains the Risk Measures Report, Net Revenue Report, the Model (RevSim) and the Access Database. The Model retrieves inputs to run the calculations iteration by iteration.
RevSim is an Excel 2010 based model. Much of the logic is VBA code (Visual Basic for Applications); the user does not need to know VBA to run the model. The user should save the RevSim Model and the Access Database in the same directory folders. To run the model, the user first clicks on open database button in the UI tab of the model. A dialog window opens to the directory where the model is saved and the user clicks on the "Access Database" to open it. When the dialog window closes, the user clicks on the "Run All Iterations" buttons and the model will run through the 3200 iterations saving the results in the StudyResults table in the Access Database.

Transmission Revenue Requirement Model
The revised spreadsheets correspond to the Errata Corrections to the Transmission Revenue Requirement Study (BP-18-FS-BPA-09-E01) and to the Transmission Revenue Requirement Study Documentation (BP-18-FS-BPA-09A-E01). Updates were made to the Rev. Rev. Req. and the Revised Interest Income spreadsheets to reflect the updated transmission revenue forecast.

The ToolKit (posted 07-26-2017)
The ToolKit is written in the open-source statistical programming language R (http://www.r-project.org/). This model is used to assess the effect of risks and risk mitigation tools on Power and Transmission Reserves for Risk.
P-NORM is a Microsoft Excel® spreadsheet with the @RISK® add-in from Palisade Corporation (www.palisade.com). P-NORM can be run or interpreted only on computers with licensed copies of @RISK installed. To run P-NORM, open P-NORM in excel and open @Risk. An @Risk tab should appear in the Excel® menu bar. Click the @Risk tab, set ‘Iterations’ to 3200, ‘Simulations’ to 1 and click ‘Start Simulation’. Results of a simulation used as input for the Toolkit model can be viewed in the ‘Output’ tab.
T-NORM is a Microsoft Excel® spreadsheet with the @RISK® add-in from Palisade Corporation (www.palisade.com). T-NORM can be run or interpreted only on computers with licensed copies of @RISK installed. To run T-NORM, open T-NORM in excel and open @Risk.
Repayment Model
Diagonal Bricklayer Model Operational Description
The Diagonal Bricklayer Model Operational Description was written when the Dynamic Debt Repayment Model was still in development. It was intended to explain the primary algorithm that determined the model results. The repayment program has evolved since its initial development but this document has not been updated as the evolution occurred. The primary methodology remains the same but some details differ. For instance, the section Algorithm Description (page 1) is functionally correct but the discussion is for general use and needs to be tuned for each individual business line. This document suggests that there are 20 Model Years in the first Study Year, then 19 in the second, and so on. The number of Model Years for each Study Year depends on the business line (50 Model Years for Power, 35 Model Years for Transmission) and that figure persists for every Study Year, as opposed to decreasing as this document suggests.
While this document stresses the flexibility that users have over the User Controls, which influence the results, all of the controls have specific settings that are to be used for Rate Case purposes. This ensures that BPA is in compliance with all applicable statutes and policies.
