Business Practices provide customers with the information about how to conduct business with BPA. They describe the implementation of sections of BPA's Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT), certain Schedules and Attachments thereto, and of the Transmission and Ancillary Service Rate Schedules. The Business Practices inform BPA’s customers about policies and procedures related to obtaining BPA’s products and services.

The Large Generator Interconnection Business Practice describes the process Customers follow to interconnect large generating facilities (more than 20 MW nameplate generation capacity) resources with the Bonneville transmission system. This Business Practice identifies the qualification criteria, forms, and submission procedures along with expected steps and timing leading up to interconnection.
 
The Small Generator Interconnection Business Practice describes the process Customers follow to interconnect small generating facilities (equal to or less than 20 MW nameplate generation capacity) with the Bonneville transmission system. This Business Practice identifies the qualification criteria, forms, and submission procedures along with expected steps and timing leading up to interconnection.
 
The Line and Load Interconnection Procedures Business Practice describes the steps and requirements for submitting a Lines and Loads Interconnection Request (LLIR). Entities seeking a transmission system interconnection without associated Point-to-Point (PTP) or Network Transmission (NT) Service must submit a LLIR.
 
The Generation Integration Services Business Practice describes the requirements for generators operating in the Bonneville Power Administration Balancing Authority Area to obtain Integration Services from the Bonneville Power Administration. It provides details about the requirements for Balancing Authority Area Service Agreements.
 
The Funding Advance Construction of Network Upgrades and Temporary Use of Network Upgrade Business Practice outlines activities applicable to funding advance construction of Network Upgrades and the temporary use of Network Upgrades associated with an interconnection request from another Interconnection Customer in accordance with Attachment L of the BPA Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT) and applicable Large Generator Interconnection Agreement (LGIA).
